Four years ago, I was a developer who wanted to build something of my own.
I started Specflicks in 2022. My days revolved around code, ideas, and figuring things out.
Today, I’m building two companies: Specflicks and Labs 24.
It wasn’t a straight journey.
Four years changed more than my work
I used to be short-tempered. I wanted things to move quickly, and when they didn’t, I didn’t always handle it well.
I was also an introvert. Client calls and difficult discussions were outside my comfort zone.
That changed. Not overnight, and not without mistakes.
I spend a lot more time listening now. I think through decisions differently. And problems that once frustrated me have become things I can sit with, understand, and work through.
That’s the part of building a startup people don’t see. It changes you too.
Two companies, two different problems to solve
With Specflicks, we’re building a connected productivity ecosystem for startups.
Our beta users are already using HRMS, CRM, invoicing, and project management. We’re currently at around 75–100 users in the beta program, and their everyday usage is helping us understand what needs to improve.
That feedback means a lot. A feature looks fine in development. Real usage tells a different story.
We also have AI capabilities coming to Specflicks, with updates planned through December. The name is ready, but I’m keeping that reveal for launch.
Let’s just say things are getting a little agentic.
Labs 24 has been a different kind of learning.
We’re now officially Labs 24 Global Enterprises Private Limited, and we’ve opened our new office on Anna Salai, Chennai.
Walking into that space and seeing our team working there felt special. Not because an office is the goal. It’s a small milestone on the way to something bigger.

We’re also growing our work in forward-deployed engineering: getting close to the real problems businesses face and staying involved until the technology works where it matters.
Solving those problems, watching our team grow, and mentoring people who are willing to explore new things with me—that’s where a lot of my happiness comes from.
What the updates don’t show
There were sleepless nights. There were decisions I wish had been easier. And there were months when managing cash flow required a completely different kind of thinking.
Patience and sustainability have probably been my toughest lessons.
These days, both companies run on clearer processes. Planning, client calls, and delivery have their place. I still divide my time between them, but I’m no longer trying to solve every problem with urgency.
Outside work, travelling helps me reset and come back with a different perspective.
And on an ordinary evening, you’ll still find me at the office, coffee in hand, taking calls.
Why I’m writing again
I stopped blogging because life got busy. I also didn’t want to publish something just to say I’d posted.
But writing has always been a way for me to clear my head.
Four years have taught me that building isn’t just about learning faster. It’s about gaining experience, creating processes that last, and staying committed to the goal even when the route changes.
I’m grateful for the people building alongside me, giving their best to work that asks a lot of all of us.
I’m happy with where we are. I’m equally aware of how much is still ahead.
So here’s Life Update #2.
The work continues. And so does the writing.
