Hey Everyone ! I’m Niranjan Venugopal.
I’m a founder and a developer.
Right now I’m building two companies — Specflicks and Teams 24. Before that, and honestly still, I’m a full-stack developer.
7+ years of writing code, mostly for other people’s ideas, until I couldn’t ignore my own anymore.
So now I build my own. And I write about it here.
Two things have always run in parallel
There’s the tech side of me, and the creative side. They never really competed. They just both kept showing up.
The tech side started early. I’ve been obsessed with building since I first touched code.
Running Teams 24 and Specflicks is just what happened when I got tired of building other people’s products and thought — what if I built my own?
The creative side is actually older than the code. I’ve been making short films since school. I made 5-6, but only one ever got released.
Each one taught me something I couldn’t have learned any other way.
I don’t talk about it much in my founder life, but it’s still in there. It’s why I think in stories.
Why I care how something feels, not just whether it works.
And it’s why I like entertaining people — somewhere in all those films, that became a habit.
Two different fields. Both equally challenging. I think that’s what real multi-tasking actually looks like.
Why I write
I’ve been writing for about 8+ years now.
It started as tech reviews for magazines back in 2015, as a side hustle. Then in 2019, I started blogging properly. Somewhere along the way, someone told me that reading my blog felt like having a conversation with me.
That stuck with me. It’s still what I’m going for.
For me, writing isn’t “content.” It’s where I relax. It’s my vent-out point. When I went quiet for a few months to build the companies, I felt a part of me go missing — like I’d lost my therapy.
The stuff that keeps me going
Music. It’s my therapy — how I calm down. You know how the Hulk gets calmed by a lullaby? Music does that for me.
Food. I take it seriously. It’s how I celebrate a good day and survive a bad one.
Friends. The real ones. I enjoy being with them.
Films. I watch too many. I think about them more than is probably healthy. They shaped how I see the world long before code did.
I don’t have it all figured out. Maybe 30% on a good day.
But I keep building. I keep writing. I keep showing up.
I’m a firm believer in self-motivation—the kind that fortifies your spirit and drives you to push boundaries.
Every challenge is an opportunity, every setback a lesson, and every small victory a step toward a grander vision.
If you’re here for the tech, there’s plenty. If you’re here for the messier stuff — building, thinking out loud, the in-between — there’s that too.
Thank you for stopping by.
Stay curious, stay inspired. 😎
